Jiang (religion, Rutgers U.) reflects on both Buddhism and modern psychology in a way that uses each as a mirror to examine the other's assumptions, and so make the ongoing dialogue between them more conscious and fruitful. His goal is not to boil them down together into some kind of buddhachology, but to reveal certain paradigmatic assumptions embedded in the two systems.
