The 11 chapters cover fundamentals in electro-mechanical machines through an integration of design, applications, and control perspectives. Problems in the early chapters review relevant basic concepts in physics and mechanics. The remaining chapters are dedicated to control of AC motors, the DC machine, translational electromechanical machines, special purpose machines and sensors, and balanced and unbalanced operations for the polyphase induction machine and the polyphase synchronous machine.
