Foster provides a new edition of artist Harold Weston's (1894-1972) autobiography of his time spent in the Adirondacks. The volume combines stories about the history of the wilderness with his painting and life. A new section includes excerpts from letters and diaries, and there are new illustrations, notes, and an introduction by Foster, who reorganized the book so that it is more thematic. Colorplates of paintings and b&w photos are included. Foster is Weston's granddaughter and is associated with the Society for the Preservation of American Modernists.
