She begins with a history of the field and two lengthy chapters on the basics of drawing. Coverage continues with forensic art in the context of finding and identifying the living (the interview, composite imagery, and age progression), and identification of the dead (postmortem drawing, skull preparation, two- and three-dimensional facial reconstruction from the skull, and methods of superimposition). The final section addresses professional ethics and conduct, printing and graphics reproduction, dealing with the news media, and the forensic artist in court.
