This collection of twenty-three articles on emerging technologies in military robotics presents current scholarship on a wide variety of topics relating to Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and the management of robots in the field. The work is divided into sections covering the fundamentals of HRI, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) research, unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), cross platform technologies and future research projects. Individual papers address such topics as the cognitive psychology of human-robot interaction, imperfect reliability in UAV supervision and control, operator performance in multi-tasking environments and coordination and automation for controlling robot teams.
