This new edition is built on the 12th edition (1866), the first 4-part edition. It includes materials added in later editions, as well as a section of three-part tunes from the early editions. In addition, hundreds of typesetting errors have been corrected. Funk was known as &quot;the father of music&quot; in northern Virginia. This beloved hymnbook is still used widely today by singings and song groups. This new edition brings to the public the best of this rich tradition in music.</div>
