Cries came from a cardboard carton lying near garbage cans carelessly filled with the flotsam and jetsam of nearby lives. At the bottom of the carton was a newborn, a little boy lying in a pool of afterbirth.<BR><BR>The one who found the baby regarded all life with disdain. Yet for millennia he lusted to reign supreme over all creation.
