This attractive volume (co-published with Marquand Books in Seattle) is filled with luscious color photographs by Ron Reeder of the superb baskets in Busby's collection and many b&w plates of historic photos of early collections and the basket makers at work or seated along docks selling their wares. Busby, a collector, has written an informative text on the history and techniques of spruce root basket production, their use in Native contexts and for sale to non-native collectors.
