Taking on a motif central to the Sturm und Drang of Romanticism, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art exhibit recorded in these pages uses paintings of storms to examine features of Romantic art. The paintings include works by Dutch 17th-century painters, by early 19th- century Romantics and their successors, and works by post-Romantics who probed more deeply into the human psyche.
