Ranging from 4 to 64 miles, each trip includes driving directions and information on camping, water availability, amenities, and level of difficulty. The drives span the state including Steens Mountain Road and the Alvord Desert, Hells Canyon, and Millicoma River Valley to Golden and Silver falls. Each drive includes a simplified road map, but Bernstein encourages travelers to carry and use detailed maps of each area.
