Leigh (curriculum and instruction, Iowa State U.) chronicles the history of the black Lincoln Heights School District and the predominantly white Princeton School District, both created in the early 1950s, and their eventual merger, nearly 20 years later. Leigh interprets the political, social, economic, and racial factors involved from the perspective of Critical Race Theory, which maintains that racism is endemic and pervasive in American society.
