After an introduction to the historical, political, and economic background of the Kingdom of Jordan, she provides chapters on societal discourses related to young women in Jordan, experiences of families as a social stage and an institution, young adulthood as a psychological and social transition stage, participation in social arenas such as community projects and students' groups, and expressions of religion and religiousness in dress.
