This work offers a new understanding of Kant on the freedom of the will. Voeller looks in detail at the <EM>Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals</EM> and the <EM>Critique</EM> <EM>of Practical Reason</EM> against the background of Kant's critical philosophy as a whole.
