For an entire week Feingersh covered a Marilyn who had just turned 29 and was gradually growing up, as she went about her private and public life in New York. He follows her around the city, accompanies her to a costume fitting at the Actors Studio, is with her on an incognito subway ride and her legendary ride atop a painted pink elephant in Madison Square Garden.
