James H. Quigley is affiliated with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, the large international firm that invested in the two-year study that underlies this book; Mehrdad Baghai is a strategic advisor to leaders of large corporations. The aim was to study leadership and to find models beyond the two that are most prominent these days: the traditional command-and-control model, and the newer collaborative model.
