The book was originally published as Gettysburg's Forgotten Cavalry Actions by Thomas Publications in 1998, and won the Bachelder-Coddington Literary Award as the best new work interpreting the Battle of Gettysburg. This revised and expanded edition integrates new research to offer a re-worked account of Farnsworth's Charge and a revised account of the Battle of Fairfield. This edition includes a new map and a new appendix on battle locations, plus walking and driving tours with GPS coordinates, and more contemporary b&w photos of battlefields and landmarks as they exist today.
