She considers why this integration is necessary for all students, what it consists of, which components are most important, in what school settings it is needed, and how educators can implement it. She discusses historical and legal perspectives and the goals of this edition (which incorporates new and revised theories, models, and research), then focuses on six dimensions: teacher preparation, assessment, curriculum, instruction, counseling students, and families.
