Neurologic complications from cancer therapies are an important source of morbidity and sometimes limit the administration of potentially beneficial therapies. Because treatments for therapy-induced neurotoxicity are limited, awareness of common neurological complications is important to minimize permanent damage. Neurologists and oncologists cover complications of systemic therapies according to agent, of radiation therapy, of surgery, and of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Among specific topics are corticosteroids, targeted therapy, central nervous system toxicity of chemotherapy, radiation-induced tumors, and neurosurgical oncology.
