Ensher (teaching and leadership, Syracuse U.) and Clark (pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, Albany Medical College) present a companion text for Families, Infants, and Young Children at Risk: Pathways to Best Practice, co-authored by Enshner, Clark, and Songer (2009), written for professionals across multiple disciplines, and graduate students in educational, medical, and clinical preparation programs. Co-authors Ensher and Clark invited the contributions of five other New York-based pediatric and educational professionals for four of the text's 14 chapters. The text covers key educational, developmental, cultural, and psychosocial issues and challenges faced by helping professionals in their work with families and young children from birth to age eight with established disabilities and with children at risk for later developmental delays.
