Anthropologists mostly from Oxford University describe how some anthropologists over the past decade or so have been paying more attention to developments in the study in social and biological evolution, and of material culture, and argue that that attention has brought social, material, cultural, and biological anthropologies closer to each other and closer to allied disciplines such as archaeology and psychology. Their topics include bioculturalism, evolutionary approaches to human behavior, the five agents and the body ecology in Chinese medicine, and anthropological theory and the multiple determinacy of the present.
