Scholar and Dutch ambassador to Middle Eastern countries Kurpershoek set out from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the later 1990s to the tribal areas of 'Tebah and ad-Dawasir in Central and Southern Najd in order to collect and study the oral traditions of the people there. The Arabic texts with Roman transliteration are presented in the first four volumes of the series. This fifth volume provides a consolidated glossary comprising the accumulated and integrated data of the separate glossaries of the four previous volumes; indices for subjects, tribal names, and proper names; and a list of the original recordings of the poets and transmitters in the same order as in the four volumes, which can be downloaded as MP3 files from a web site.
