This book redefines identity within contemporary Judeo-Argentinean fiction through the transforming notion of <i>Jewishness</i> and national identity in Argentina. Abandoning traditional definitions, it analyzes how feelings of alienation and nostalgia echo an era of transculturation and floating borders. <i>Made of Shores</i> places Jewish Argentinean fiction within the context of Latin American literature and Judaic studies by reviewing novels published in post-dictatorship Argentina.
