<DIV>As nature photography has shifted decisively towards digital in recent years, much has been written offering guidance and tips on technical matters, but there has been little published on the creative aspects. European Wildlife Photographer of the Year Chris Gomersall addresses this gap in a fresh and accessible guide, which takes account of developments in photography without dwelling on technical details.<BR><BR>Ten thematic chapters on subjects such as Space, Light, Time and Developing a Narrative are generously packed with examples, advice and suggestions for projects and exercises. The second part of the book consists of sixteen case studies, where Gomersall describes how he achieved some of his most outstanding images.<BR><BR>The large new audience for a guide such as this is evidenced in the growth of ecotourism and the uptake of digital cameras with excellent zoom facilities in recent years. The field has opened up to many more people as cameras are now largely automated and foolproof. The book will serve as an inspiration to relative newcomers, as well as to more accomplished photographers who are technically assured but are looking to extend their creativity, to try fresh approaches and to learn from one of the masters.<br></DIV>
