Kanawati (Egyptology, Macquarie U., Australia) and team present a new and complete record of all the tombs at Meir, where the nobles of El-Qusiya, the 14th province of Upper Egypt, buried their dead from the late Sixth Dynasty through the rest of the Old Kingdom and during the Middle Kingdom. Where parts of scenes and inscriptions are no longer visible, they rely on Blackman's findings early in the 20th century, but provide many details omitted in earlier publications. This volume is devoted to the tomb of Pepyankh, his family, and dependents. Among the topics are the date and identity of Pepyankh the Middle, architectural features, burial apartments, scenes and inscriptions, coffins, and the statue.
