Landrum (psychology, Boise State U.) and McCarthy (psychology, Kennesaw State U.), along with other psychology professors from universities in the US, identify four areas of concern in the ethical teaching of undergraduate psychology: pedagogy, student behavior, faculty behavior toward students, and considerations in the diverse classroom. In 17 chapters, they demonstrate the application of ethical principles to these areas, specifically academic freedom, conducting research on teaching and learning, grading criteria, plagiarism, selecting textbooks, online teaching, evidence-based pedagogies, cheating, student infractions, challenging student belief systems to increase cultural sensitivity, addressing the needs of students with disabilities, maintaining professional boundaries, supervising students in community-based settings, collaborating with undergraduate research assistants, determining the role of undergraduates in authorship, and training graduate student teachers of psychology.
