Documents an extraordinary exhibition organized by Washington State University in collaboration with the Cheney Cowles Museum. The exhibit focused on the encounter and mutual impact of Catholic and Native American Indian religions and cultures in Montana, Idaho, and Washington, beginning with Pierre-Jean De Smet of Belgium meeting the Salish (or Flathead) in the early 1840s.
