Carnap (1891-1970) sets out, in an exact syntactical method, what he hoped were the necessary tools for working out the problems of the logic of science. The 1937 English edition, published by Kegan Paul, Trench Trubner and Co, London, includes sections that were in the original manuscript, but for reasons of space left out of the German Logische Syntax der Sprache , for which no date or publisher is cited.
