This guide for pre-service and in-service K-12 teachers, administrators, and educators explains each of the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS.T), with an emphasis on formal and informal professional development, networking in the virtual world, self-reflection, and collaboration with peers as essential aspects of achieving the standards. Chapters on each technology standard examine the standard from a constructivist viewpoint, beginning with a review of the standard in brief and a list of performance indicators and learner outcomes. After a discussion of the standard, each chapter provides suggestions for assignments and classroom activities. The book includes lists of websites and other resources for teachers.
