Designed as an easily readable accompaniment to the more thorough Machinery's Handbook, this book is billed as appropriate for everyone from the high school student to the professional in a machine shop. Nevertheless, each section begins with basic learning objectives and a list of key terms, and ends with the task of defining them, along with a short quiz. References are made throughout to the 28th and 29th edition of the main handbook and this work could be consulted as a quick resource. Copious tables and shop recommended diagrams and a substantial glossary are included.
