An introduction to major post-structuralist thinkers, showing how the work of Foucault, Derrida, Lacan, and Zizek can help expose the depoliticization found in conventional international relations theory. Argues that contrary to the opinions of their detractors, the post-structuralists are concerned with larger questions of international politics, paying particular attention to notions of the subject and subjectivity in relation to the political, and to the relationship between ideology and social reality.
