Presented for analysts, planners, and researchers, as well as students and policy makers, this compilation of 42 articles by transport specialists, engineers, and others from around the world identifies best practices in transport survey methods, to enhance the quality, value, and utility of the data that surveys provide for shaping transport practice, policy, and programs. Articles are papers and workshop syntheses drawn from the Ninth International ISCTSC (International Steering Committee for Travel Survey Conferences) Conference on Transport Survey Methods, held in Puyehue, Chile, in November 2011, and focus on the theme of "Scoping the Future While Staying on Track."
