This anthology gathers first-person oral accounts, memoirs, articles, and book excerpts from those on both sides of the Battle of Midway. Material is organized in sections on context for the battle, planning and preparations on both sides, first-hand accounts of battle from Japanese and American participants, and post-battle events and analysis. The book also offers sections on the official battle report, four senior commanders, the role of code-breaking in the battle, and assessments of the battle.
