Teece (Haas School of Business, U. of California at Berkeley) collects papers published in the 15 years since his earlier 1998 Elgar collection, papers which are the product of his continuing research in strategic management, innovation, and related fields. The 26 included papers are presented in three sections: "Foundations of Strategy," which includes work on his concept of dynamic capabilities; "Innovation," which addresses business model choice in the context of innovation, how to capture value from intellectual property, innovation in relation to dynamic capabilities, and the economics of knowledge in relation to the firm; and "Innovation and the Theory of the Firm," which is further sub-divided into sections discussing vertical and horizontal diversification, contracts and licensing, internationalization, and capabilities.
