Louis I. Khan, considered one of the premier architects of the twentieth century, is known for famous buildings such as the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California and the Assembly Building in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Yet he also taught for a number of years at the University of Pennsylvania, where Dagit, before his own academic career commenced, found inspiration in the Louis I. Kahn Masters Studio. This biography is both about the life of Louis I. Khan and Dagit's time at the university. In addition to photographs of significant people in Khan's life, this volume includes pictures of both his premiere buildings and four classical buildings, such as the Carcassonee in France, which Kahn found inspirational.
