Neuroscience research is continually coming up with better ways to learn and remember. But sifting through the academic language can be a challenge. So this book does that for the reader, providing guidelines from using all of one's senses to engaging in the optimal amount of aerobic exercise. If students can pull themselves away from their studying long enough to try the strategies outlined in this book, Doyle (faculty development, Ferris State U.) and Zakrajsek (family medicine, UNC--Chapel Hill) promise success. Although the book generally does not address social and emotional factors, these are acknowledged as important.
