Wahl has written a history of a singular that may not be recognized by many outside the realm of boat enthusiasts, specifically fishing boat enthusiasts. The Wahl family spent three generations building some of the most prized and beautiful wood boats known to the west coast fishing industry at their boatyard in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The author is a great-grandson of founder Ed Wahl and in his teenage years helped in the construction of the final Wahl boat, which was the inspiration for this family history.
