Confederate General John Bell Hood led the July 1864 Battle of Peach Tree Creek, near Atlanta, Georgia. According to the author, the South’s loss marked the beginning of the end for the Confederacy. One of the author’s ancestors was in the battle, and the book presents detailed research into the fates of soldiers. It also contains a roster of Confederate and Federal losses at Peach Tree Creek.
