<span><span>Bringing together work by distinguished and younger scholars, </span><span style="font-style:italic;">Eighteenth-Century Poetry and the Rise of the Novel Reconsidered</span><span> takes seriously the connections between poetry and novels in the period between Andrew Marvell’s Upon </span><span style="font-style:italic;">Appleton House</span><span> and Amelia Opie’s Romanic-era novels.
