In this new adventure set in 1920s Scotland, witty, aristocratic sleuth Dandy Gilver has set up shop with her friend Alec Osbourne, forming the detective agency Gilver and Osbourne. At the request of Dandy’s childhood friend, the pair travels to an all-girls school in the small seaside town of Portpatrick to look for the client’s youngest sister, who had been teaching at the school.
