<DIV><p>The wonderful and photogenic people of Afghanistan are not always understood by an outside world used to seeing images of the country's ongoing and painful conflict. <I>Afghan Faces</I> offers the reader a unique insight into the people of this troubled country.</p><p>In August 2010, John Casson and professional photographer Jeremy Rata made a high-risk visit to Afghanistan where they joined former ITN reporter and presenter of <I>News at Ten</I> Sandy Gall, who has written the book's foreword. During their visit the team faced the harrowing scene of a terrorist attack that had happened only a few hours earlier.</p><BR></DIV>
