This handbook analyzes private law as it evolves in an increasingly integrated Europe. Volume II includes essays on special aspects of contract and tort law, including the law of sales, as well as essays on (unfair) competition, environmental liability, corporate law, and the law of trusts. The second volume further includes a chapter on private law justice in the European legal system and another one on the economic analysis of the harmonization of European private law. All essays touch upon policy issues related to the harmonization of private law in Europe.
