<p>Carlo di Angelis's wife Sophie is in hospital for a routine operation. Outside the hospital Carlo's old flame Julie Bloomfield falls into his arms, the woman he loved and thought he'd lost a lifetime ago. </p><p>Meanwhile 150 miles away in Bradford, Tarik is falling under the influence of Islamic extremists.</p><p>When Julie's daughter Rachel proves to be no carefree innocent somebody's resolve will waver and somebody else's resolve will harden.
