In 11 papers from a 2012 international conference in Graz, Austria, scholars of translation, linguistics, and various languages explore the application of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu's (1930-2002) concept of habitus to translation studies. They cover general theoretical aspects, intra-disciplinary inter-relations (re)visited, methodological aspects of the relationship between theory and empirical studies, and political and/or critical aspects of the habitus concept in translation studies.
