This oversized book concomitantly charts eleven patrols of the German submarine U-203 and the career of its highly decorated Commander, Rolf Mützelburg, who died in a freak accident on his eighth patrol. With the discovery of a crew member’s collection of 240 black-and-white photographs and the addition of documents, including maps and sketches, Muützelburg, who became one of Admiral D<:onitz’s “four aces”, and the emblematic U-203 are memorialized.
