This report summarizes the malaria situation in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region up to the end of 2012. It provides a summary of the regional burden and the key interventions in the seven countries in the Region with a high burden of malaria. The report expands on the annual World malaria report, providing comprehensive country profiles for all countries, including those that are malaria-free and those targeting elimination, as well as the high-burden countries.
