In this book, editor Isabel Ermida has collected fourteen critical articles that reappraise the continuing influence of Bram Stoker’s Dracula through literary, cinematic, televised, artistic, and dramatic adaptations of the work. The editor has organized the contributions that make up the text in three parts devoted to gothic spaces and the decolonization of the genre, multimodal representations of the gothic from the screen to the stage to the arts, and identity transformations of the vampire in a postmodern “gothic.” The editor is a faculty member of the University of Minho in Portugal.
