This work is a scholarly study examining the Gallipoli Campaign of World War I solely from the point of view of the Turks. Chapter titles include Prologue to the Campaign, Defending against the British Landings at Cape Helles, The Battle for the ANZAC Sector, The Defence in the Anafartas and Suvla Bay Sector, and To the Enemy Evacuation. Of note are the extensive appendices for each chapter, comprised of such things as military orders, telegrams, and biographies. The text includes numerous historical photographs as well as maps of key battle areas. The text will be an informative read to those interested in Gallipoli, WWI, or Turkish history in general.
