Some are famous, but many, like the tugs<i>Yelcho</i>, <i>Foundation Franklin</i>, and <i>Turmoil </i>are virtually unknown. The book includes two boats, the<i>Bounty</i>’s launch and the <i>James Caird</i>, which completed two of the most extraordinary voyages in maritime history, but all of the vessels had interesting and dramatic careers and were involved in many major historical incidents.
