Neighbour was a general practitioner (GP) in the UK from 1974 to 2003. First published in 1987, his text explores the skills that GPs must have in order to effectively manage their central activity, which is consulting. Writing in a engaging style, Neighbor uses knowledge gained in the past 17 years to update ideas from the original text and make them applicable today.
