Goodill describes the emerging application of dance/movement therapy (DMT) to the needs of people with a primary medical illness. Drawing upon interviews with practitioners as well as case examples, she shows how DMT encourages and enhances the healing process by working with the mind/body connection. She concludes by proposing some priorities for future research in the field. Goodill teaches graduate courses in creative arts therapy at Drexel University.
